Improve your rescue skills!

Whether you're a beginner with a beacon or a past graduate of a Level 1 Avalanche Course, this 4-hour Companion Rescue Clinic will get you up to speed on the most current methods for avalanche rescue.  You will learn how to perform a quick and efficient single burial rescue, you will learn methods for multiple burials including the three circle method and the use of beacon marking functions, and you will learn valuable tricks like "probing on a line" from a seasoned avalanche professional.  We will also provide you with a laminated Companion Rescue Card to keep in your pack.

Practice With A Variety of Beacons, Shovels & Probes

We will provide a variety of different beacons, shovels and probes for you to practice with so you can get hands-on experience with the different options available today.  If you haven't purchased avalanche rescue gear, this is a valuable opportunity to try before you buy.

Designed by an AIARE Instructor Trainer

Our avalanche education curriculum is designed and overseen by Matt Wade, an Instructor Trainer for the American Institute for Avalanche Research & Education (AIARE).  Matt has been teaching avalanche courses for over 10 years and he serves as an instructor trainer for developing avalanche professionals.  Matt's involvement at the forefront of the avalanche industry ensures you will learn the most cutting-edge and proven techniques in the avalanche field.
